NORTENT Torv 7 sleeping pad
At NORTENT, we believe that a restful night in the wild depends on both spaciousness and comfort. This philosophy drives our gear design, ensuring that most moments spent outdoors, feels like a natural extension of home. As much as possible. We created the Torv 7 sleeping pad with the same commitment to quality and harmony that shaped our tents and our Lyng sleeping bag. Rooted in our vision to provide a complete outdoor experience, the Torv 7 is more than just a place to rest, it’s an indispensable companion that preserves your comfort in any season or terrain. From the start, we have upheld a passion for quality and a deep respect for the great outdoors, mindful that a poorly designed pad can overshadow even the finest tent. With an unwavering focus on comfort, performance, and sustainability, the Torv 7 invites you to a good rest and sleep in the  wilderness. And yes, we designed the Torv 7 in matching colors so your pad and bag combine seamlessly, creating a unified, cohesive look and feel.

Generous dimensions for a spacious Sleep. Measuring 197 cm in length, 68 cm in width, and 11 cm in height, the Torv 7 offers ample room to stretch out. Despite these roomy dimensions and luxurious comfort, it weighs just 740 g, allowing you to enjoy a restful night’s sleep without adding unnecessary weight to your pack.

All-season performance. With an R-value of 7 (ASTM F3340-22), the Torv 7 provides outstanding insulation and warmth year-round. From frosty winter treks to crisp alpine adventures, you’ll rest easy knowing your gear meets most of nature’s toughest challenges. ASTM F3340-22 is currently recognized as the industry standard for measuring the R-value (thermal resistance) of sleeping pads, ensuring comparable results across different brands. This is a common, standardized test method developed by ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)

Sustainability and respect for nature. We meticulously source materials to minimize environmental impact, eliminating all fluoride from both the coating and the fabric. You can sleep soundly, knowing your gear reflects our shared responsibility to safeguard the wild places we love.

Spacious Sleep Solutions
One of the simplest but most vital solutions to a good night’s rest outdoors is having enough room to move. Many pads on the market fail to deliver the space you need to stretch out and shift positions comfortably, causing restless nights and stiff mornings. That’s why the Torv 7 is designed to be roomy from the ground up. Measuring 197 cm in length, 68 cm in width. it ensures you won’t find yourself hanging off the edge when you roll over or stretch your legs. We know that this extra space means deeper, more relaxed sleep.

Elevated comfort
The Torv 7’s impressive 11 cm heigh doesn’t just shield you from cold, uneven ground, it practically floats you above the uneven ground. This extra loft offers gentle, encompassing support for your hips, shoulders, and knees, ensuring you never bottom out against the terrain. You’ll feel the difference the moment you lie down. The pad molds to your body’s contours for stable, restorative rest. Even side-sleepers will appreciate how the added thickness cradles pressure zones and absorbs surface irregularities.

Layered Insulation for all-saeason warmth
Beneath the Torv 7’s rugged exterior lie five dedicated layers of insulation, each featuring an aluminum film that actively reflects your own body heat. Instead of merely trapping warmth, this design sends thermal energy back toward you. You can literally feel the warmth radiate from the pad. It’s like sleeping on a thermal shield, one that stands between you and the cold ground. Ideal for winter expeditions, alpine treks, or unexpected temperature drops, these layers offer robust heat retention without adding bulk. By combining reflective technology with lightweight construction, the Torv 7 provides comfort and warmth in every season.

Two-in-one pump sack
The Torv 7’s stuff sack doubles as a pump sack, streamlining both storage and setup. It’s simple to use. Just connect the stuff sack’s valve opening to the pad’s inflation port, roll down the top, collect some air, and gently squeeze to transfer air. With a bit of practice, you’ll inflate the pad in just a few minutes, all while keeping moisture from your breath out of the interior. Once you’re ready to move on, the same sack neatly packs and compresses your pad for efficient transport.

Dual-function valve
Gone are the days of juggling multiple valves for inflating and deflating your sleeping pad. The Torv 7 features a single, cleverly designed valve that handles both tasks with ease. When set to “inflate,” the one-way mechanism keeps air flowing in but prevents it from escaping, so every pump counts, and you won’t lose pressure if you pause. Switch it to “deflate,” and the entire valve opens wide, allowing air to rush out for hassle-free takedown. This streamlined approach not only saves time but also reduces the risk of leaks or confusion, giving you a simpler, more reliable system where one valve does it all.

Inflation Made Simple

  1. Open the Valve: Start by removing the top cap on the Torv 7’s valve.
  2. Attach the Stuffsack: Secure the stuffsack’s valve opening to the pad’s inflation port, ensuring there’s a snug fit.
  3. Fill the Sack with Air: Open the sack widely, capture some air and give a small, gently, quick blow into it. This helps capture a generous pocket of air in just a few seconds. It is not about collecting your own breath. It is about your breath gently pushing the surrounded air into the bag
  4. Transfer the Air: Roll the top of the sack down or press it gently to push the collected air into the sleeping pad.
  5. Repeat: Continue this process. Inflate the sack with air, seal the top, and press, until the pad reaches your desired firmness.

Remember to leave a bit of extra space in case the air inside expands when temperatures rise.

Quick and Easy Deflation
To deflate the Torv 7, simply remove the bottom cap on the valve, which opens it wide and allows air to escape rapidly. Start rolling or folding the pad from the opposite end of the valve, pushing out any trapped air as you go. Once all air is out, replace the cap and tuck the pad neatly into its stuffsack.

Smart inflation and temperature awareness
When you head into the mountains, remember that temperature changes can significantly affect the air pressure inside your Torv 7. In cold conditions, air contracts and causes the pad to soften, sometimes leading people to mistakenly believe there’s a leak. On the flip side, if the air inside heats up, say, during a sunny afternoon, it expands, making the pad feel tighter. An overinflated pad can sustain damage if left to expand further in the sun or in warmer conditions. To avoid unnecessary strain and ensure a long lifespan, it’s best to inflate the pad to a comfortable firmness, then fine-tune as the temperature fluctuates. Keep it firm enough for support, but leave a little room for inevitable expansion.
