NORTENT Lyng - 5 Sleeping Bag – Secure Comfort in the Wild

NORTENT’s journey into creating a sleeping bag stems from a commitment to provide a complete outdoor experience, knowing that even the most exceptional tent can’t make up for a sleeping bag that falls short. Rooted in a passion for quality and harmony with nature, we understands that true comfort in the wild requires every piece of gear to perform reliably. A poorly designed sleeping bag can turn a peaceful night in the tent into an uncomfortable struggle, disrupting the joy of being outdoors. Our Lyng sleeping  bag has been crafted with the same dedication to quality and resilience as our renowned tents, ensuring warmth, comfort, and durability that supports you through every adventure. Guided by a respect for nature and a focus on high-performance, sustainable materials, we stribe to enable you to rest easy, knowing your gear is as reliable as the wilderness is vast.

NORTENT Lyng sleeping bag is designed for those who crave freedom and flexibility in the wild,.The Lyng combines warmth, mobility, and smart design to keep you comfortable in any outdoor setting. Imagine waking up in your tent, staying cozy in your sleeping bag while you make coffee, organize your gear, or even step outside without ever losing that insulating warmth.

For adventurers who value mobility without compromising on warmth, the Lyng Sleeping Bag is the ideal companion. Embrace the freedom to stay warm, stay mobile, and fully experience life in the wilderness with Lyng.

With dual side zippers for arm freedom and a bottom zipper that lets you move your legs, the Lyng transforms into a wearable layer, perfect for tasks around camp or enjoying the sunrise without leaving your cocoon of comfort.

Crafted with DownTech-treated hydrophobic down, the Lyng provides premium warmth at a featherlight weight. Its 850 Down fill power ensures maximum insulation even in damp conditions, so you stay warm regardless of the weather. DownTek down is a specially treated, hydrophobic down insulation designed to enhance the performance of traditional down in outdoor gear. Unlike untreated down, DownTek is coated with a durable water-repellent (DWR) treatment, preventing it from absorbing moisture. Because it resists moisture, DownTek maintains its loft and insulating properties, keeping you warm regardless of the environment. This ensures insulation even in damp or wet conditions. The outer fabric is water-repellent, adding another layer of protection, while the Cordura waterproof compression bag keeps the Lyng dry during transport, no matter how wet the environment.

To ensure a warm and uninterrupted night’s sleep, the inside of the Lyng is equipped with specialized baffles. These baffles act as insulation barriers along the length of the sleeping bag, preventing cold air from seeping in through the openings. This design is especially effective at keeping out drafts that could disrupt your comfort. Additionally, we have incorporated an adjustable collar inside the sleeping bag to shield you from cold drafts around the neck area, even when the main opening is partially unzipped. This collar adds an extra layer of warmth where you need it most, allowing you to enjoy a cozy, restful night in the wild.

A standout feature is the centrally positioned YKK anti-snag zipper. Unlike traditional side zippers, this central placement offers superior flexibility and mobility, allowing you to move freely. The YKK anti-snag technology minimizes fabric snags during zipping, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free operation. This thoughtful design choice aligns with NORTENT's commitment to providing reliable and user-friendly gear, ensuring that your sleeping bag enhances, rather than hinders, your wilderness adventures

The Lyng sleeping bag is equipped with three thoughtfully designed pockets.. On the outside shell, you’ll find a spacious pocket perfect for storing clothes or keeping essential items within easy reach. Inside the bag, at the foot end, there’s a special pocket designed to warm damp clothes or socks using your body heat, ensuring you always have dry, warm gear ready when you need it. Additionally, a small interior pocket near the top provides a secure spot for your mobile phone or other small essentials, keeping them safe and accessible throughout the night.

How to take care of your Lyng down sleeping bag

Proper care of your down sleeping bag ensures its longevity and maintains its insulating properties. Follow these steps to keep it in great condition:

After each use:

  • Air it out: Shake out your sleeping bag and hang it to air-dry immediately after use to remove moisture and odors.
  • Spot clean if necessary: Use a damp cloth to clean dirty spots, focusing on the outer fabric. Avoid using detergents directly on the fabric unless washing.

Storage:

  • Avoid compression during storage: Store your sleeping bag in the breathable, mesh storage sack, not its compression sack, to prevent flattening the down.
  • Dry it completely: Ensure it’s 100% dry before storing to prevent mold or mildew.
  • Store in a cool, dry place: Keep it in a location away from moisture, direct sunlight, or extreme temperatures.

Washing:

  • Frequency: Wash only when necessary (e.g., every few seasons or when visibly dirty).
  • Use the right products: Use a down-specific detergent like Nikwax Down Wash to maintain loft and water repellency.
  • Machine wash on gentle cycle:
    • Wash with cold water on a delicate cycle.
  • Drying: Tumble dry on low heat with dryer balls to fluff the down. This can take several hours. Do not rush the process.
